Cox Gun Bolts
The Cox Gun and range of bolts offers a unique solution to numerous underwater tasks.
features
Standard Bolt
- Available for plate from 6mm to 25mm (1/4” to 1”)
- This when fired into plate will leave a “stand” of undamaged 5/8” BSF thread on the entry side of the plate.
- This “stand” will vary from 1.5” (38.2mm) to 3” (76.2mm) according to the thickness of the plate which can be a minimum of 0.25” (6.35mm) up to a maximum if 1” (25.4mm). Push out ability of 11.9 tons in ½” steel plate, 22.2 tons in 1” steel plate.
M20 Bolt
- Available for plate from 6mm to 25mm (1/4” to 1”)
- As above but with M20 x 2.5mm ISO Thread
- A higher load M20 bolt is also available for increased strength over the standard bolt. Other applications include rapid attachment of steel plat patches, wooden patches and the construction of repair of cofferdams.
Air / Hollow bolt
- Available for plate from 6mm to 25mm (1/4” to 1”)
- This bolt is of hollow construction and fitted with a nose which can be removed from the entry side of the plate after firing, leaving a 0.226” (6.76mm) clear bore through which fluids or cables may be passed and a 0.75” BSW external thread to which valves and airlines may be attached.
- Min plate thickness 0.25” (6.35mm) – max 1” (25.4mm).
- Hollow bolts, incorporating a seal removable from the operating side of a structure, can be driven into steel plate up to 12 thick, instantly providing a means of supplying air for breathing, compressed air for lifting, or the introduction of wires for electrical circuits, to otherwise enclosed spaces
- This hollow bolt also provides an ideal solution of emergency fluid removal from a damaged or incapacitated vessel.
Punch bolt
- Available for plate from 6mm to 25mm (1/4” to 3/4”)
- This consists of a plain projectile which will punch a clearing hole for 0.625” (15.9mm) dia. In mild steel plate of up to 0.75”(19mm). This enables a 5/8” BSF Bolt to be fired through a pre-punched hole into the fixing plate. It is an invaluable asset where heavy drilling apparatus is no available on site.
- When firing through a pre drilled or punched plate, the barrel is located centrally over the pre-cut hole by the use of a plastic register inserted in the barrel nose.
- With equal ease and speed, holes can be instantly created in steel plate up to ¾” thick by using the Cox Punch Bolt.
